Back to work

To our valued patients:

Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family starting in August. The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions placed back in March. While many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety.

Our office has always followed strict infection control standards and in order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, things will be a little different.

•        We will ask some screening questions before your appointment and you’ll be asked those same questions again                   when you’re in the office.

•        You may be asked to wait outside our office or in your car and call us when you arrive and then wait for a call back to           let you know when you can enter the office.

•        We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the clinic. There are more dispensers around the           office for you to use as needed.

•        Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or children’s toys since those items are difficult to fully disinfect.

•        Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing between patients. That might mean less flexibility               for scheduling your appointment, but it will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one                   time.

•        You may be surprised that we’re wearing more protective gear – such as masks, face shields, gowns – than we                       normally do during your visit.

Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team.

We look forward to seeing you again. If you have any questions, please let us know. To make an appointment, call our office at 705-855-3200 or email us at drwitzu@gmail.com

Thank you for patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back!

Dr. Sharon Witzu

"I have been working in Chelmsford at this location for 34 years and have enjoyed the satisfaction of being able to care for any and all concerns that patients may have, whether it’s strictly dentistry, cosmetics, function, or absolute fear of dentistry. I have special training qualifications for allaying anxiety. I help many patients overcome their worry, whether due to anxieties or an unhappy past dental experience. The care I provide is sincere and careful. I want it to make sense to you, the patient and for you to be satisfied, feeling supported and well cared for just as I, myself would like to be treated. I thank all of you for your loyalty for the 34 years together and yes, it’s true we have become friends over all these years! We took care of every patient’s emergency dental work for all of Greater Sudbury when the strike happened years ago, because we care and dental work was not covered. Hope to see you soon!"

Dr. Sharon Witzu graduated from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry. She has been and continues to attend continuing education courses to provide the most up-to-date dentistry.

Dr. Terry Witzu - After a long and incredible career, Dr. Terry Witzu has officially retired!

Dr. Terry Witzu

"I brought dentistry to Chelmsford over 40 years ago. My humble roots began in the basement of the Medical Center on Anna Street. I constructed and relocated to our modern current office in 1980 when I began to build Tridont Dental Centers across Canada and in Florida. Now after over 150 offices and hundreds of thousands of patients, my treatment creed remains the same; treat patients like family. I truly believe that with proper care and attention, you will arrive at our office as a new patient and remain with us as a friend."

Dr. Terry Witzu received his dental degree from the University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has taken hundreds of hours of courses to continue to improve himself.
